When Was Christ
Jesus Born?

Christ Jesus Was Born In What We, Today, Call 4 BC.
In The Year 3758, On The Hebrew's Calendar.
The actual words of the Gospel narratives differ greatly from popular "Religious" myths:
The words of the Gospels also differ greatly from many other unscriptural "Religious" practices, traditions, customs, and fanciful beliefs in fables or folklore that have been built up around the original, God-given Bible stories.
SCRIPTURAL CHRONOLOGY OF CHRIST JESUS'
CONCEPTION AND BIRTH
1 - THE CONCEPTION OF YOC-HAN'AN (John-The-Baptist) - Luke 1:5-25

When the angel, Ga'vri-El (Ga'bri-el), appeared to Zach-a-ry'ah (Zach-a-ri'as) as he was ministering in the Hebrew's Jerusalem Temple, it was during the Aaronic Ministration of the priestly family of A-bi'jah (A-bi'a).

This order of priests routinely ministered in the Temple in the eighth familial course, during the ninth week of the Hebrew year, according to the Talmud and according to the Scriptural ordinance of 1 Chronicles 24:10.

The ninth week, when Zach-a-ry'ah's priestly family routinely served, included the last few days of the second Hebrew month, Iyar, and the first few days of the third Hebrew month, Sivan.

Following that ninth week of routine priestly service, the tenth week includes a Sunday that is the Feast of Shavu'ot (Pentecost, a High Holy Day), one of the three Annual High Sabbaths requiring ALL of the 24 priestly families to be in attendance at the Jerusalem temple for that special "Pilgrimage" Holy day.

The Feast of Shavu'ot (Pentecost) is 50 days from the Sunday which is within the seven-day-long Feast Of Unleavened Bread.

And, as during the week of Unleavened Bread (The 7 days immediately following Passover - the third week in the 1st month) and, as during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot - the third week in the 7th month), ALL of the 24 priestly families ministered to the overwhelmingly massive crowds of Hebrew Pilgrims at Jerusalem during each of the 3 Annual High Sabbaths (the 3 High Holy Days).

Pentecost is the anchor point for discovering the time of Christ Jesus' (Messiah Ye-shu'a's) birth.

The angel promised Zach-a-ry'ah that his prayer for a son had been answered and, after the Sunday of Shavu'ot (Pentecost), when he went home, his wife E-lis'he-va (E-lis'a-beth) conceived immediately thereafter.

This puts the conception of Yoc-han'an (John the Baptist) on a Monday, immediately after the end of the Sunday of Shavu'ot, the Feast of Pentecost, during the tenth week of the Hebrew civil year 3756 (BCE 5) - in Sivan, the third Hebrew month.

2 - THE CONCEPTION OF YE-SHU'A (Christ Jesus) - Luke 1:26-55

Then, at the close of the sixth month of E-lis'he-va's pregnancy with John, the angel Ga'vri-El appeared to Miry'am bot Da'vid (Mary, family of King David). Ga'vri-El told Miry'am about E-lis'he-va, saying "she who was called barren is six months pregnant". Ga'vri-El explained: Because E-lis'he-va is an elderly woman, it is a miracle of God that E-lis'he-va has conceived a child in her old age, and that Miry'am herself would also soon conceive and bear a child because of another miracle of God, even though Miry'am was a virgin.
This was during the last part of the ninth Hebrew month called Kislev, at the time of Ha-nukk'ah (The Feast Of Dedication), 3757.
There are 27 weeks between the end of the priestly course of A-bi'jah and the first day of Ha-nukk'ah, which is celebrated for eight days - from Kislev 25 to Tevet 2.
Miry'am accepts the word of the angel concerning the conception of Messiah, and she immediately travels from Nat-ser'et (Naz-a'reth) to the home of E-lis'he-va and Zach-a-ry'ah in the Judean mountains near Jerusalem, a three day journey from Nat-ser'et. Miry'am was likely going to assist her elderly cousin E-lis'he-va during her pregnancy, as well as telling E-lis'he-va about her own angelic visitation.

Upon Miry'am's greeting to E-lis'he-va, E-lis'he-va responds to Miry'am, calling her "the mother of my LORD". This demonstrates that Miry'am was already pregnant with Ye-shu'a haMa-shi'ah (Jesus, The Messiah). Thus, Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) was conceived during Ha-nukk'ah, the Festival of Lights, for He is the Light of the World.
Often, the first day of Ha-nukk'ah falls very close to Christmas.
The apostate Roman Catholic church, in the Fourth Century, CE, combined the pagan Winter Solstice celebration (usually Dec. 23) and the Saturnalia celebration (The first day of which is Dec. 25) with the numeral borrowed from the Hebrew's 25th day of Kislev (1st day of Ha-nukk'ah) to invent Christmas (Christ's Mass) on December 25.
Supposedly this was to celebrate Christ's birth, and Roman Catholicism makes no excuses or apologies concerning this invention, brazenly claiming to have "Baptized" paganism.
Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) is shown celebrating Ha-nukk'ah in John 10:22-23. It is at this celebration that He declares "I and My Father are One" (John 10:30), which testifies to His Divine origin in His conception. It also reinforces Ha-nukk'ah as the time of His conception.
Historically, it is more accurate to celebrate Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) entering the world through conception at Ha-nukk'ah rather than to celebrate His birth at Christmas.
Christmas is NOT the birthday of Christ Jesus !
Christmas is an invention resulting from the religious compromise of authentic Christianity with ancient pagan traditions, folklore and myths.
Christmas only has harmony with the truth in that it falls approximately at the time of year when, on the first day of Ha-nukk'ah, Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
From year-to-year, the first day of Ha-nukk'ah will always fall between very late November and very late December, anytime from 3½ weeks BEFORE Christmas to a few days AFTER Christmas.
3 - THE BIRTH OF YOC-HAN'AN (John-The-Baptist) - Luke 1:56-80

Miry'am stayed with E-lis'he-va for at least 14 weeks, but the Gospel account says she went home to Nat-ser'et (Naz-a'reth) just before E-lis'he-va gave birth to John.
Since a full pregnancy term is 41 weeks, and 27 weeks makes up the first six months (two trimesters) fitting the time from early in the tenth Hebrew week (early June) up to the first day of Ha-nukk'ah (late December), that leaves 14 weeks to accomplish the last trimester and bring the pregnancy to full term.
There are 14 weeks from the first day of Ha-nukk'ah (Kislev 25) to Passover (Nisan 14).
John-The-Baptist was born at Passover (Nisan 14). He was circumcised on the eighth day, which would be the last day of the 7-day-long Feast of Unleavened Bread (Nisan 15-21). Ga'vri-El had said that John would "go forth" in the strength and power of El-i'jah (Luke 1:17). Jewish teaching is that El-i'jah will come again at Passover (this is still a tradition of Judaism today).

4 - THE BIRTH OF YE-SHU'A (Christ Jesus) - Luke 2

Nisan (Abib, or Aviv), when Yoc-han'an (John-the-Baptist) was born, is the first month of the Hebrew civil year. As shown, Miry'am conceived six months after E-lis'he-va conceived, which means Ye-shu'a's (Jesus') birth would have to come six months after Yoc-han'an's (John-The-Baptist's) birth, during the seventh Hebrew month of Tishri.

Since we know that Yoc-han'an (John-The-Baptist) was born at Passover, we learn the time of Ye-shu'a's (Jesus') birth by counting six Hebrew months from Passover. The Feast of Unleavened Bread (Chag haMatzoh) begins on Nisan 15 and six months later The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) begins on Tishri 15. Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) was born on the first day of Sukk'ot (Feast of Tabernacles).

The first day of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) is a "Pilgrimage" Sabbath, a High Holy Day (an Annual High Sabbath). So it fits that Yos'ef bar Da'vid (Joseph, Family of King David) and Miry'am (Mary) were led by God to make their journey to Beit-Lechem (Beth'le-hem) both during the safest time to travel (while, during fair weather, the roads were full of Pilgrims to Jerusalem) and so they would finish their journey before the beginning (at sundown) of the festival of Sukk'ot's (Feast of Tabernacles) first-day "Pilgrimage" Sabbath.

They found no immediate lodging indoors because of the overwhelmingly massive crowds of Hebrew Pilgrims attending the religiously significant first day of the Feast / Festival at nearby Jerusalem. Crowds had previously arrived, and were continuously arriving, to lodge throughout the entire region. But by the end of that same High Holy Sabbath (birth-day) many religious Pilgrims were preparing to depart for home and there was, then, room indoors for Christ Jesus and His family.
Concerning the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot)...

The LORD commanded that Israel should observe Sukk'ot for seven days. They were to build temporary dwellings called a sukk'ah (a booth or tabernacle) and dwell in them during that Feast / Festival. Leviticus 23:34-43
These sukk'ahs (booths) were erected to house families with some bare comforts and food for the seven days, and after the end of the 7-day-long Feast / Festival there was an additional Sabbath Day on the "Eighth Day" that was NOT within the 7-day-long Feast/Festival of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot).

Food was placed in an animal-fodder crib for storage in the tabernacle (sukk'ah or booth). The King James Bible calls this food crib a "manger".

Ye-shu'a (Jesus) was NOT born in a barn, a stable, a grotto or a cave, but rather in a temporary dwelling called a tabernacle (sukk'ah or booth) which had been built (in the tens-of-thousands throughout the region surrounding Jerusalem) especially for the Feast Of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) celebration.

Any place where animals are kept (barn, stable, etc.) is an extremely unsanitary place to give birth, risking the life of both the mother and the child by contamination from animal wastes.

He was placed in a "manger" (a food crib), demonstrating in a "Type" that He is the Bread of Life from heaven.

Christ Jesus' family took Him and fled to the closest part of Egypt on the very next night after His birth. Joseph, having been warned by God in a dream, immediately arose and departed for Gaza during that very same night in which he had the dream, and they never returned to Beit-Lechem (Beth'le-hem).

That single day they spent in Beit-Lechem (Beth'le-hem) was the ONLY chance for the so-called 3 Kings to honor the Messiah with their gifts while Christ Jesus was still resident in Beit-Lechem (Beth'le-hem).

If YOU are not familiar with the specific timing of these events, see Matthew, Chapter 2.

On the "Eighth Day" Ye-shu'a (Jesus) was circumcised ("Bris" or Brit Mila) according to the Scriptural command (Luke 2:21). This is when a name is given and, for a male, this is what accomplishes a full Hebrew birth.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) is for seven days. The first day of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) and the later "Eighth Day" are both special Sabbaths.

NOT routine, weekly, Saturday Sabbaths !

Ye-shu'a (Jesus) was born on the first day of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot), a "Pilgrimage" Sabbath, an Annual High Sabbath (a High Holy Day) no matter which day of the week it falls, and He was circumcised on the "Eighth Day", also a special Sabbath day - no matter which day of the week it falls.

Evidently, God intended this entire 7-day-long Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot), and the following "Eighth Day", to be set aside in order to accomplish and celebrate Ye-shu'a's (Jesus') birth into the world.
Note that God provided two Holy Feasts / Festivals that both lasted seven days, Unleavened Bread (Chag haMatzoh) and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot), 6 months apart.

Both of these 7-day-long Holy Feasts / Festivals have a component that causes the celebration of each of them to last for eight days overall.

The week of Unleavened Bread is PRECEDED by the separate feast day of Passover, while the Feast of Tabernacles is FOLLOWED by the separate "Eighth Day" Sabbath.
John-The-Baptist, the forerunner of Messiah, was born and circumcised in the first, then six month later Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus), the Messiah, was born and circumcised in the second. John came in the first month of the year and Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) came in the seventh month.

In ministry, John introduced "THE WAY" to God through Messiah, and Ye-shu'a (Christ Jesus) fulfilled (completed) it. The number one signifies introduction and the number seven signifies fulfillment (completion) throughout the Holy Scriptures.

5 - CONCLUSION

This chronology provides us with the day of Ye-shu'a's (Christ Jesus') birth, Tishri 15, 3758, according to the Hebrew calendar. Every year, the 7-day-long Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) is from Tishri 15 to Tishri 21, while, after the end of the Feast of Tabernacles, the following "Eighth Day" Sabbath is always on Tishri 22.

Because the Hebrew calendar is based on the course of the Moon (Lunar) and our modern Gregorian calendar is based on the course of the Sun (Solar), the two types of calendars shift in relation to each other from year-to-year. This means the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) will always occur somewhere between mid-September and mid-October, but on a different Gregorian date from year-to-year.
Ye-shu'a's (Jesus') birthday is on the same Hebraic calendar day (number) each year, Tishri 15, but in relation to the Gregorian calendar it changes. Plan for His birthday to always occur, in any given year, between the latter half of September and the first half of October... Christ Jesus was born...
.... 15 days after Rosh haShanah...
.... And 5 days after Yom Kippur.
On our modern Gregorian calendar, which did NOT exist at the time of Christ Jesus' birth, He was born on October 4, BC 4.
Tishri 15, 3758 on the Hebrew's calendar.
The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) is a most important commemoration. Zechariah 14:16-17 informs that one day in the future all nations will be required by the Law Of God to honor this feast. For what greater reason, than it is the birthday of the King of Kings!
Please pray this prayer:

"That authentic possessors of Salvation will return to the 2,000-years-old Apostolic ROOTS of their faith and learn to restore the fallen foundations of Biblical Christianity. May genuinely Born-Again Christians all work to overcome the influence of pagan customs in religiously-oriented celebrations and become separate from this world as a spiritually sanctified people before a Holy God." AMEN!

COMMENTARY

Most people, including most Hebrews, know very little about the Hebrew's Holy Scriptures. Also, too many people know very little about the Christian Bible and, so, know nothing of the information about the birth of Christ Jesus detailed above.

Even many (most) genuine Christian believers do not fully understand the Hebrew orientation of the Holy Scriptures and never make the theological connection between the Judaism of Christ Jesus and its Christian applications.

Mankind's customs and traditions, even if pious and heartfelt, are not recognized by God as true worship:
In Matthew 15:7-9 and Mark 7:6-7, Christ Jesus stated: "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites... in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the traditions of men... thus making the word of God of none effect."

In its first three centuries, the Apostolic Christian Church did not observe a "Christmas". It was not until more than 300 years after the death of Christ Jesus that the supposed "Birthday" celebration began to be associated with the newly-founded Roman form of Christianity. There is always great danger of NOT understanding the Bible stories when one knows the Christmas carols (folklore based upon Roman Catholic myths and fables) BETTER than one knows the Bible itself.
One thing is quite clear...
The time of year that about 30% of today's world population celebrates "Christmas" is definitely and provably NOT the season of the year when Christ Jesus was born!
God, The Father Almighty, completed the eternal "Last Word" on this subject nearly 2,000 years ago. He has not left His Word open for debate, He has only left it open for disbelief or rejection by lost souls.
It is a matter of WHOM or WHAT one chooses to believe.
It is simply a matter of AUTHORITY !
